Giant Themed Elephant Stage Sculpture Case: 2025 Xishuangbanna International EDM Festival (BEJF)
Client: Organizing Team of Banna Electric Jumbo Festival (BEJF 2025), the iconic Xishuangbanna International Electronic Music Festival held in Yunnan, China.
Xishuangbanna is famous for Dai ethnic culture, rainforest landscapes, and sacred elephant totems deeply rooted in local minority traditions. For the 2025 grand BEJF electronic music carnival, the client planned a jaw-dropping centerpiece stage installation that blends local Dai elephant cultural symbols with futuristic EDM stage design, to match the festival’s core slogan: Sacred elephant drumbeats resonating with heavy bass.
All three oversized elephant scenic sculptures featured on the main festival stage were fully custom-designed, sculpted, reinforced, painted and delivered by YesDino. These massive half-body and giant elephant head props served as the core visual anchor of the whole outdoor stage, perfectly merging tropical Dai cultural aesthetics with high-energy electronic music atmosphere.
The festival gathered world-famous Top 100 DJs including Yellow Claw, Ummet Ozcan, Quintino and Jay Hardway, attracting tens of thousands of global EDM fans for a cross-cultural audio-visual carnival. Our giant elephant stage sculptures became the most viral photo spot and iconic symbol of the entire event.

To perfectly fit the layered truss stage structure and highlight Xishuangbanna Dai ethnic sacred elephant culture, we customized three segmented giant elephant sculptures with unique structural designs (not full-body elephant models):
Difficulties & Specialized Custom Production Process
This large outdoor stage sculpture project brought multiple unprecedented technical challenges that our production team overcame through optimized craftsmanship and structural design:
- After segmented fiberglass and reinforced internal frame molding, every joint seam between sculpture sections required manual filling, sanding, and seamless repairing to eliminate assembly gaps.
- Multi-layer weather-resistant exterior paint was applied, including gradient grey elephant skin base coats, hand-painted golden Dai totem details, and color correction layers designed to render vivid textures under intense RGB stage lighting and outdoor daylight. The seam repair and full painting process consumed massive manual labor hours to guarantee a flawless lifelike surface finish.
After 4 days of rigorous high-altitude hoisting and assembly work, the three giant Dai-style elephant sculptures were fully installed and synced with the venue’s LED screens, flame machines, smoke systems and colorful stage lights ahead of the May 1 grand opening.
On the opening day of BEJF 2025 Xishuangbanna International EDM Festival, the giant elephant stage instantly created an unparalleled immersive atmosphere that perfectly matched the event’s core creative concept: Sacred elephant drumbeats resonating with bass, Dai rainforest culture colliding with global electronic music.
- When top international DJs including Yellow Claw, Ummet Ozcan, Quintino and Jay Hardway performed heavy bass tracks, the symmetric side elephant trunks spurted tall bursts of synchronized flames, while thick white smoke billowed from the central giant elephant’s trunk. Combined with dynamically shifting LED screen visuals of rainforest, Dai mandala patterns and volcanic fire, the entire stage delivered a stunning cross-cultural audio-visual storm for tens of thousands of EDM fans.
- The culturally distinctive giant elephant sculptures perfectly embodied Xishuangbanna’s local ethnic charm, becoming the most widely shared viral photography prop across social media platforms. Festival attendees continuously captured photos and short videos of the flame-spouting sacred elephant stage, greatly boosting the festival’s online exposure and brand influence.
The client delivered highly positive feedback on our factory’s craftsmanship, structural stability, seamless surface finishing, and complete pre-integrated special effect design, stating the giant elephant stage sculptures fully fulfilled their vision of a one-of-a-kind culturally rooted electronic music carnival landmark.
