The Brachiosaurus, a remarkable dinosaur, inhabited North America during the late Jurassic period and may have also roamed North Africa in the early Cretaceous era. As a distinctive member of the sauropod family, specifically within the Camarasauridae, it holds a unique place in prehistoric history.
Thriving in the late Jurassic, the Brachiosaurus was a true giant among sauropods. Measuring up to 26 meters in length, standing between 12 to 16 meters tall, and weighing around 30 tons, it stands as the tallest dinosaur with a complete skeleton ever discovered and ranks among the largest and heaviest creatures to have walked the Earth.
One of its most notable features is its disproportionately large forelimbs, which gave rise to its name, "Brachiosaurus," meaning "arm lizard." With a relatively small head, this dinosaur is believed to have had limited intelligence, placing it among the species with lower cognitive abilities.
The Brachiosaurus had nostrils positioned atop its head, forming a distinctive mound-like structure. Its well-developed jaw was equipped with 52 flat, sharp teeth, perfectly adapted for effortlessly biting off tender pine branches.
